About Sonia

Sonia Cann-Milland  is a biological mother of two sons . She has been married to Paul Milland for thirteen years and has two stepdaughters and a stepson. In 2015 Paul and Sonia were proud to announce their first grandchild. In 2018 they were proud to celebrate their son's wedding welcoming their first daughter in-law into their family.  They have been a stepfamiliy for thirteen years. Sonia has worked as a Welfare Worker for over 30-years in various fields. All these positions involved working with individuals of all ages and families doing Counselling, Pastoral Care and Support Work. Sonia's Qualifications are Associate Diploma of Welfare - Monash University, Masters of Education - Monash University and Currently studying her final year of a PhD at Monash University. Sonia's employment history began as a Manager of Fusion Youth Housing for at risk teenagers and young adults. A Lay Minister and Children's Ministry worker at Monbulk Anglican Church. Part Time Counsellor at Monbulk Secondary College and Monbulk Anglican Church. Case - Manager for unemployed adults at Mission Australia Frankston. Chaplain and Wellbeing Worker at Somerville Primary School and Baxter Primary School.  Sonia is currently running a private practice offering counselling to recoupled parents and stepfamilies facing a variety of challenges.
